Court News

LISBON — In Common Pleas Court, William S. McMillan, 28, Eastern Ohio Corrections Center, Wintersville, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor theft charge, a lesser included offense to the receiving stolen property, fourth-degree felony charge, he had been facing for stolen car parts on June 1, 2020. McMillon is facing up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine. Sentencing is set for March 7.

George R. House Jr., 37, Homewood Avenue, Salem, pleaded guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, for methamphetamines in his possession on June 17, 2020. Sentencing is set for Jan. 7 when he faces up to a year in prison and a $2,500 fine.

Municipal Court

LISBON – In county Municipal Court, Logan Darnley, 25, Georgetown, Pa., was fined $975, had his license suspended for a year and required to attend a three-day counseling program for OVI first offense and failure to control. A seatbelt violation was dismissed.

A Feb. 10 pretrial was set for Jeffrey R. Ryan, 24, Beaver Falls, Pa., cited with having weapons while intoxicated. During a Sept. 11 wedding reception, Ryan allegedly was involved in a fight with his brother while intoxicated, unholstered his Sig 1911 pistol and fired eight rounds into a nearby field.

A Jan. 27 pretrial was set for Robert Jay Lutman, 45, Leetonia Road, Leetonia, cited with use of an unauthorized plate and two counts of driving under suspension.

A Jan. 25 pretrial was set for Kaitlyn Nicole Masters, 18, East Fifth Street, Salem, cited with failure to stop after an accident and assured clear distance.

Devon J. Johnson, 30. Youngstown, was fined $350 and credited with 14 days in jail for no license amended from driving under suspension and a possession of drugs charge for 72 pills in his possession in 2017. A possession of marijuana citation was dismissed.

A Jan. 20 pretrial was set for Andrew J. Lemasters, 51, West Florida Avenue, Sebring, cited with driving under FRA suspension and speeding.

A Jan. 20 pretrial was set for Tkazijah Mo’nae Saunders, 23, First Street, Alliance, cited with driving under suspension and possession of marijuana.

Christopher James Sanders Sr., 62, Bergholz, was fined $250 for driving under suspension and speeding.

Andrew E. Vanhorn, 23, Lower Elkton Road, Columbiana, was fined $100 for driving under suspension.

A driving under suspension citation was dismissed against Jerome Gregory Dailey, 42, West Tennessee Avenue, Sebring.

Erin M. Steves, 18, Prospect Street, Salem, was fined $50 for no license.

EL Municipal

In East Liverpool Municipal Court Friday, Nikki J. Koffel, of West Fourth Street, was set at 12:15 p.m. Jan. 13 for a status hearing and at 2:30 p.m. Jan. 20 for a trial for a drug paraphernalia charge.

Nichole K. Morrison, of East Third Street, was set at 12:30 p.m. Jan. 27 for a trial on building code violations.

James E. Hanlon, of Ohio Avenue, was set at 3:30 p.m. Dec. 9 for a status hearing on littering (two counts).

A pretrial is set at 12:30 p.m. Jan. 20 for Dustin Brooks, of Vine Street, on a domestic violence charge.

Gage A. Gough, of Ambrose Avenue, was sentenced to $50 plus costs on an expired license charge. A review hearing is set at 1 p.m. Jan. 28. He also is set at 12:15 p.m. Jan. 20 for a revocation hearing on theft and criminal damaging charges.

Clarence L. Blake, of Cleveland, is set for a status hearing at 11:15 a.m. Dec. 16 on charges of menacing by stalking, criminal trespass, no operator’s license and failure to obey a traffic control device.

Scott D. Shreve, of Price Street, was sentenced to 75 days in jail on charges of drug abuse instruments and probation violations (two counts).

Christopher D. Price, of Massillon, was sentenced to $75 plus costs and 25 days in jail on charges of drug abuse instruments, drug paraphernalia and no operator’s license.

Angel D. Hartley (aka Bragg), of Palissey Street, was sentenced to $500 plus costs ($450 suspended if establishes a payment plan and keeps current) on charges of failure to file and pay city income tax returns. A review hearing is set at 1 p.m. Feb. 4.

Isaiah M. Matthews, of St. George Street, is set for a trial at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 21 on a driving under FRA suspension (amended from a no operator’s license) charge.

Norman D. Sleper, of Ravine Street, was sentenced to $150 plus costs, 30 days in jail (two imposed) and 10 community service sanction hours on a no operator’s license charge.

Albert M. Fullerton, of Broadway Avenue in Wellsville, was set at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 9 for a pretrial on a hit-skip charge.

Gregg M. Wright Jr., of St. Clair Avenue, is set at 10 a.m. Dec. 22 on charges of OVI (refusal) and left of center.

Erik R. Taylor, of Ohio Avenue, is set at 12 noon Jan. 20 for a pretrial on a domestic violence charge.

Ronald E. Bayer, of Valley Avenue, is sentenced to $225 plus costs, 10 community service sanction hours and 20 days in jail (suspended) on charges of no operator’s license and fictitious plates.

Brittany A. Petty, of Wilbert Avenue, is set at 2 p.m. Jan. 20 for a trial on an assault charge.

David M. Kane, of West Ninth Street, is set at 11 a.m Jan. 16 for a trial on criminal damaging charges (two counts).

Charles R. Lewis, of Dresden Avenue, is set at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 20 for a trial on a domestic violence charge.
