LISBON – A Sept. 16 preliminary hearing and pretrial was set in county Municipal Court for Luis R. Rodriguez Cortada, 45, Youngstown, charged with improper handling of firearms in a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony; having weapons while under a disability, a third-degree felony; and misdemeanor charges of carrying a concealed weapon and expired license plates. During a traffic stop in Perry Township on Thursday, Cortada allegedly had a loaded firearm in the vehicle’s glove box when he has a prior felony conviction.
A Sept. 16 preliminary hearing and pretrial was set for Jennifer R. Goldman, 37, New Brighton, Pa., charged with two third-degree felony counts of tampering with evidence and two misdemeanor counts of possession of drug abuse instruments for allegedly ingesting and spilling a controlled substance in the back of the patrol car, as well as having a syringe filled with a brown substance inside a small bag in her purse on Monday.
A Nov. 1 pretrial was set for Jacob B. McEldowney, 34, Carey Road, Salem, cited with OVI second offense and left of center.
An Oct. 21 pretrial was set for Hernandez Patrocino Lorenzo II, 32, Vallejo, Calif., cited with OVI first offense and marked lanes.
A Nov. 1 pretrial was set for Helmut Schoen, 52, Canton, cited with failure to stop after an accident and failure to control.
Logan D. Wilson, 24, Winona Road, Winona, was fined $100 for no motorcycle endorsement. Wilson has been referred to drug court stemming from an assault charge.
Carmella Renee Gattis, 27, Canton, was fined $200 for driving under suspension and speeding.
A Nov. 2 pretrial was set for Olivia Grace Wagner, 22 Depot Road, Lisbon, cited with loud exhaust, possession of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia.
