Municipal

LISBON — In county Municipal Court, David L. Todd, 49, Elkton-West Point Road, Lisbon, was bound over to the grand jury on charges of resisting arrest, harassment by an inmate and assault of a police officer. On Friday, Todd was charged for allegedly charging Deputy Kevin Shulas’ police cruiser with a bag of potting soil and then taking a swing at Shulas, striking him in the face as Todd continued to actively resist arrest. Then after he was in handcuffs, Todd allegedly spit on Deputy Eric Buday’s arm.

Robert B. Stein, 18, Industry, Pa., was bound over to the grand jury on a charge of improper handling of firearms in a motor vehicle for allegedly having a loaded Taurus handgun in the vehicle he was riding in on March 4.

Marvin W. Harsch, 32, Warren, was bound over to the grand jury on charges of tampering with evidence and illegal drug paraphernalia for allegedly having a scale with white powder residue on it on April 2, which he reportedly placed a bag over the top of and moved to the floor before burying it under items in an attempt to hide it form Salem police.

Sean McCarthy, 25, Commerce Street, Wellsville, was credited with four days in jail, sentenced to an additional 41 days in jail, fined $600 and ordered to pay $465 in restitution to the county jail for theft and criminal mischief for going behind the officer’s station at the jail, breaking a locked cabinet and taking a gallon jug of hand sanitizer from inside on March 30.

Carlos Sierra Altamirano, 30, Perry Grange Road, Salem, was fined $450 for no license, failure to control and reckless operation amended from OVI first offense.

A June 1 pretrial was set for Brandon R. Shavor, 44, Campbell, charged with theft for allegedly swapping out an empty miter saw box for a full miter saw box at the Salem Home Depot on March 5, then attempting to return the miter saw. He was unsuccessful in returning it, the Shavor allegedly walked out of the store and loaded the stolen item into a vehicle before leaving.

Gage B. Mountz, 27, Medina, was fined $400 and required 40 hours community service for two counts of driving under suspension.

An April 22 pretrial was set for John Wolf, 63, East Lincoln Way, Lisbon, cited with six counts of building maintenance violations for alleged violations to property on East Lincoln Way. Similar charges against Kellie Wolf, 61, were dismissed.

Betty L. Castelucci, 38, Canton, was fined $195 for driving under suspension and speeding.

Brandon S. Myers, 46, Third Street, Wellsville, was fined $150 and required 20 hours community service for driving under suspension.

Clarence William Fox, 49, Youngstown, was fined $100 for speeding.

An April 22 pretrial was set for Scott A. Dean, 37, Apple Street, Salem, cited with violating a temporary protection order for allegedly going to a West Wilson Street, Salem, home where a child lives who has a protection order against Dean, which caused the child to flee the home on Tuesday.

A May 27 pretrial was set for two men charged with assault for allegedly fighting each other in Lisbon on Tuesday — David G. Gasior, 47, homeless, and Daniel A. Dochterman, 54, West Lincoln Way, Lisbon.

A May 27 pretrial was set for Jonathan A. Burkholder, 38, Pershing Street, Salem, charged with domestic violence for allegedly dragging a child over the banister, causing him to hit his face off a banister and hitting the child with his fist in the face, stomach and hip on April 7.

Robert L. Plegge, 67, Beachwood Road, Salem, was fined $500 for two counts of disorderly conduct amended from telecommunications harassment and menacing for leaving a voice mail and texting threats to Charity Townsend on July 22.

Kevin Ramsey, 25, Rochester Road, East Rochester, was credited with a day in jail, sentenced to two additional days in jail, fined $300 and had his license suspended for 180 days for failure to display a valid sticker and driving under OVI suspension.

Kelly Joe Burnette, 56, state Route 14, East Palestine, was fined $330 and required 30 hours community service for left of center, a seat belt violation and reckless operation amended from OVI first offense. A driving under suspension citation was dismissed.

Kelsey Faye Havel, 26, Elizabeth, Pal, was fined $200 for marked lanes and disorderly conduct amended from possession of marijuana.

Brent T. Durk, 26, Aetna Street, Salem, was credited with 11 days in jail, sentenced to an additional 49 days in jail and fined $750 for driving under suspension, resisting arrest and obstructing official business for refusing to cooperate with Salem police during a traffic stop on April 4, refusing to get out of the vehicle and then pulling away from police attempting to check him for drugs or weapons.

Brian Pearl, 41, Upper South Elm Street, Columbiana, was fined $330 for speeding, failure to control and a seat belt violation.

Vanessa L. Porter, 41, Youngstown, was fined $550, had a license suspended for a year and sentenced to three days in jail for driving under OVI suspension.

Angela M. Weaver, 33, Sandusky, was credited with four days in jail and fined $200 for disorderly conduct for going to random doors on Peace Valley Road while under the influence of a narcotic and being unable to stand up when East Palestine, police found her on Bacon Avenue.

A June 7 pretrial was set for William R. Swagger, 26, New Garden Avenue, Salem, cited with driving under FRA suspension.

Alex J. Felton, 24, Columbia Street, Salem, was fined $300 for driving under suspension and no license amended from driving under suspension.

EAST LIVERPOOL — In East Liverpool Municipal Court, Forrest L. Nicholson, Lincoln Avenue, was fined $350 and given 40 community service hours and 90 days in jail (10 imposed) on an assault charge.

Stephanie A. Barnes, Echo Dell Road, was fined $375 and given 20 community service hours and 120 days in jail (all suspended) for license plate light (two charges), failure to signal, possession of drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia.

Jay D. Hackathorn, Bradshaw Avenue, was fined $150 and given 20 community service hours and 30 days in jail (all suspended) for theft.

Donald Weyand, Moore Street, was fined $750 ($600 suspended if the defendant comes into compliance with city code) for property maintenance, maximum height weed and a housing code violation.

Isiah Coulter, Alpha Street, was fined $250 and given 40 community service hours and 180 days (two imposed) in jail for assault, amended from domestic violence.

Steven W. Camp, Industry, Pa., was fined $500 and given 120 days in jail (20 imposed) and 40 community service hours for drug abuse instruments and resisting arrest.

Lori A. Pezant, New Cumberland, W.Va., was fined $250 and given a 60-day suspended jail sentence and 20 community service hours for theft.

Charles L. Herron, Ross Street, is set June 3 for a pretrial on a criminal damaging charge.

Jessica S. Chapman, May Street, is set June 3 for a status hearing and June 10 for charges of endangering children and driving under suspension.

Marlissa M. Hudson, Wilbert Avenue, is set June 3 for a status hearing and June 10 for a trial on charges of passing bad checks and receiving stolen property.

Norman I. Shields, Lincoln Street, is set April 28 for a pretrial on no operator’s license and stop sign violations.

Daniel T. Queen, Echo Dell Road, has a pretrial June 3 on charges of falsification, making false alarms, driving under suspension and no brake light.

Michael L. Travis, Hammond School Road in Wellsville, was set for a June 3 pretrial on a domestic violence case.

Ryan L. Pritt, Lisbon Street, was set June 3 for trial on a violating a protection order.

Matthew R. Young, Lisbon Street, was set June 3 for a driving under FRA suspension, drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia.

Michael A. Stover, Thomas Road in Lisbon, is set April 27 for a pretrial on driving under suspension and possession of marijuana.

Indiah M. Pullie, Boardman, was set April 29 pretrial on a failure to stop for a school bus charge.

A status hearing has been set June 3 for Robert L. Tucker, Campground Road in Wellsville, on charges of aggravated menacing, possessing marijuana and inducing panic. A review hearing is set for June 25.
