LISBON — A Dec. 7 preliminary hearing was set in County Municipal Court for David J. Weaver, 19, Blossom Road N.E., Salineville, charged with theft and burglary for allegedly kicking in the back door at the state Route 154, Rogers, home of his brother, Mahlon J. Weaver, to take some bottles of iced tea and also taking a horse and buggy belonging to his father, John J.B. Weaver, off his property on Millrock Road, Rogers, on May 31 without permission.
A Nov. 23 preliminary hearing was set for Jack H. Shaffer III, 35, Greentown, charged with carrying a concealed weapon for allegedly having a loaded firearm tucked between the driver’s seat and center console when he was pulled over due to a suspended license on July 18.
A Nov. 30 preliminary hearing was set for Dustin T. Whaley, 25, West Chestnut Street, Lisbon, charged with carrying a concealed weapon and improper handling of firearms in a motor vehicle. Whaley allegedly was intoxicated and had a loaded gun inside his vehicle inside his pants on Thursday.

Michael L. Shafer, 44, Sunset Drive, Alliance, was credited with two days served in jail, sentenced to an additional three days in jail, fined $705, had his license suspended for a year for OVI and loud exhaust.

James G. Patrick, 38, Township Line Road, Wellsville, was fined $150, credited with two days in jail and required 40 hours community service for disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence for assaulting Stacey Patrick on May 8.
Keith W. Gettemy, 57, Carbon Hill Road, East Palestine, was fined $500, credited with two days in jail and required 40 hours community service for assault for striking Gregg Streit at the State Line Tavern on Aug. 15.

Gage B. Mountz, 27, state Route 45, Lisbon, was fined $400 and required 40 hours community service for telephone harassment and menacing. On June 24, Mountz made threats toward his ex-girlfriend, Bethany Dotson, by continuing to send her messages after she told him to stop.
