Court News

LISBON –In county Common Pleas Court, Cody S. Wilt, 19, Aten Avenue, Wellsville, pleaded guilty to burglary and domestic violence. He is scheduled to be sentenced on Nov. 23. Wilt broke into a house on Lisbon Street, East Liverpool, Dec. 12, 2019, and assaulted Brittany Perry.

In other court action, Jessica J. Morris, 42, Main Street, Wellsville, was sentenced by Judge Megan Bickerton to three years probation after pleading guilty to cocaine possession and tampering with evidence, with credit given for one day spent in the county jail. The crimes occurred in April 2018.

Nikolas P. Perez, 29, Firestone Avenue, Columbiana, was sentenced by Judge Bickerton to three years probation after pleading guilty to aggravated drug possession (heroin). The crime occurred on Feb. 9.

Pauline Asano-Travers, 42, of Alliance, was sentenced by Judge Scott Washam to three years probation/intervention after pleading guilty to aggravated drug possession (meth). The crime occurred in August 2019.


LISBON — In county Municipal Court, Ryan Dotson, 35, Carey Road, Salem, was sentenced to 90 days in jail, fined $925, had his license suspended for two years and ordered 30 hours of community service for OVI second offense, OVI breath .08 gram second offense and lane violations.

An Oct. 8 preliminary hearing was set for Nicholas J. Conway, 39, East North Avenue, East Palestine, charged with theft. Conway allegedly removed a vehicle from the property of the owner despite the owner telling him not to.

An Oct. 19 pretrial was set for Aaron Roma, 43, Harvard Avenue Northwest, Canton, charged with possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia.

Travis L. Weese, 46, Walnut Street, Rogers, was sentenced to 180 days in jail, fined $250 and ordered 60 hours of community service for aggravated menacing.

A Nov. 16 pretrial was set for Marie L. Dimuzio, 36, Lakeview Drive, Hanoverton, charged with OVI first offense, OVI breath .17+ first offense and speeding.

Jeffrey P. Lemasters, 47, Broadway Avenue, Wellsville, was sentenced to 180 days in jail, fined $150 and ordered 40 hours of community service for assault.

Julie A. Clark, 45, Lisbon-Canfield Road, Leetonia, was fined $100 for possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

A Nov. 17 pretrial was set for Terry E. Timmerman, 62, Liberty Street, Salem, charged with OVI first offense and a turn signal violation.

A Nov. 10 pretrial was set for Carmen R. Stancil, 28, North Lincoln Avenue, Salem, charged with theft. A man allegedly took a DVD player out of its packaging at Family Dollar and handed it to Stancil, who left with the unpaid item. Stancil was later located and admitted to being in the store, but she said she didn’t take anything.

Trinity A. Sylvertsen, 19, West Chestnut Street, Lisbon, was fined $150 for marked lanes and distracted driving.

Jarod L. Johnson, 23, Ellwood City, PA, was fined $100 for marijuana paraphernalia.

Shane R. Hart, 27, West Main Street, Salineville, was sentenced to 60 days in jail and fined $150 for obstructing official business.

EAST LIVERPOOL — In East Liverpool Municipal Court, Shawn P. Warren, Sophia Street, was fined 200 and had 10 days in jail imposed on resisting arrest and menacing charges.

Teresa L. Cunningham, Jimtown Road, East Palestine, was fined $150 and given 30 days in jail (one imposed) for theft.

Paige D. Wood, Commerce Street, Wellsville, was set for a Nov. 17 pretrial on a theft charge.

A pretrial date still is pending for Christine R. Pease, East Liverpool Road, on OVI, hit-skip and divided roadway charges.

Michael D. Johnston, Meadowbrook Circle, was set for a Nov. 17 pretrial on OVI and failure to control charges.

Gerald D. Williams, Park Boulevard, was set for a pretrial Nov. 3 on a theft charge.

Kristen Sturm, Duke Vodrey Road, was set for pretrial Nov. 3 on a theft charge.
