Salem man pleads guilty to 11 child porn counts

LISBON — A Salem man pleaded guilty to 11 counts of child pornography–related crimes on Thursday in Common Pleas Court. Justin Matthew King, 34, South Ellsworth Avenue, pleaded guilty to three counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity–oriented material, second–degree felonies. He also pleaded guilty to eight counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor, fourth–degree felonies. The first three counts each have a maximum possible penalty of eight years in prison and a $15,000 fine. The other eight counts each could mean a maximum of 18 months in prison and a $5,000 fine. Sentencing is set for Nov. 23. The first three crimes occurred in January 2018, while the pandering charges are from February 19, 2019.

Steven R. McComas, 50, Grant Street, East Liverpool, stipulated to violating the terms of his community control from a possession of cocaine charge for having the substance on Feb. 9, 2018. McComas’ community control was continued, but he also was ordered to serve up to six months at the Eastern Ohio Correction Center.
