LISBON — In county Municipal Court, a Sept. 3 preliminary hearing was set for Youcef Brahimi, 33, Main Street, Leetonia, charged with assault on a corrections officer. Brahimi was an inmate at the county jail and allegedly refused to return to his cell and struck a corrections officer in the head three times and bit him.
Michael E. Oates Jr., 45, April Road, Salineville, was sentenced to 180 days in jail, fined $250 and ordered 40 hours of community service for assault. Oates Jr. allegedly struck Pamela Snay and pushed her up against the window of her car while he was driving. It caused the vehicle to swerve abruptly.
Donald R. Smith, 60, Speidel Road, Lisbon, was sentenced to 90 days in jail, fined $400 and had his license suspended for one year for assured clear distance and driving under OVI suspension.
Kennith R.Jordan, 47 of Pigeon Road, Salem, was sentenced to 30 days in jail and fined $400 for illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under suspension and fictitious plates.
An Aug. 13 pretrial was set for Jaquon M. Rozier, 24, South Schenley Avenue, Youngstown, charged with two counts of drug paraphernalia, furnishing false information, driving under suspension, failure to display a valid sticker, distracted driving and driving left of center.
Aubrey R. Yeater, 46, of East Broadway Street, Alliance, was sentenced to 120 days in jail, fined $1,005, had his license suspended for one year and ordered 30 hours of community service for OVI first offense, OVI breath .08 gram first offense and headlights.
A Sept. 4 pretrial was set for Mike D. Barnhart, 66, state Route 7, New Waterford, charged with menacing and disorderly conduct. Barnhart allegedly threatened David Kissinger through video.
An Aug. 13 pretrial was set for Abram S. Petersen, 31, Hartley Road, Beloit, charged with domestic violence. Petersen allegedly punched his girlfriend in the face several times and put her in a choke hold.
A Sept. 28 sentencing hearing was set for Daniel T. Ingram, 23, Wilson Street, Leetonia, charged with OVI first offense, failure to control and a seat belt violation.
A Sept. 28 pretrial was set for Jonathan A. Burkholder, 38, Bayard Road, Homeworth, charged for failure to reinstate.
An Aug. 17 pretrial was set for Charles E. McCanna, 38, Spillway Road, Lisbon, charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Preston L. Wright, 27, Forest Street, Lisbon, was fined $150 for marijuana paraphernalia.
