Lisbon man gets credit for time served for OVI, fleeing

LISBON — An East Liverpool man was given credit for time served after pleading guilty to OVI and fleeing from police.

Ronald M. Melott, 44, former of Lacroft Avenue, East Liverpool, was given mandatory credit for 10 days spent in the Columbiana County Jail on the charges.This occurred during a sentencing hearing Friday in county Common Pleas Court.

As part of the plea deal, charges of assault and driving under suspension were dismissed by the prosecutor’s office. The charges stemmed from a 2016 indictment.

In other court action, Patrick Griffith, 40 Mill Street, Salineville, was sentenced to three years’ probation after pleading guilty to cocaine possession. The charge came from a 2019 indictment.

Scott Meyer, 44, East North Street, East Palestine, was sentenced to three years’ probation/treatment after pleading guilty to aggravated possession of meth. The crime occurred in July 2018, and Meyer was given mandatory credit for one day spent in jail on the charge.

Roy O. Moffett, 24, Union Ridge Road, Negley, pleaded guilty to aggravated possession of meth. The crime occurred in April 2019, and a presentence investigation was ordered.
