LISBON — In county Municipal Court, John P. Elia, 57, West Bloomfield, Mich., was bound over to the grand jury on charged of possession of drugs and trafficking in drugs. During a traffic stop on state Route 11, a highway patrol K-9 alerted to possible narcotics on Dec. 16, leading to the discovery of a large black bag containing multiple clear plastic bags of more than 5,000 grams of marijuana.

Mason A. Taylor, 19, Oakmont Avenue, East Liverpool, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to the grand jury on felony charges of intimidation and three counts of harassment by an inmate, as well as misdemeanor charges of underage consumption, obstructing official business and disorderly conduct. He is accused of threatening to punch Salem police if he were to get his hands free and spitting on three police officers at the Salem Regional Medical Center.

A Jan. 23 preliminary hearing was set for Shannon L. Cunning, 43, Austintown, charged with domestic violence for allegedly punching her husband, William Cunning, twice in the face during a child exchange on Spruce Street in Columbiana on Nov. 17, when she has a prior conviction in a 2014 case.

Todd A. Kelly, 57, West Salem Street, Columbiana, was fined $925, had his license suspended for two years, sentenced to 10 days in jail and required 40 hours community service for OVI second offense and open container

Marcy M. Courtwright, 43, state Route 154, Rogers, was fined $800, had her license suspended for a year, required five days of house arrested, ordered to attend a three-day counseling program and to perform 30 hours community service for OVI first offense and failure to control.

Colton John James Brightbill, 27, Hazel Run Road, Salineville, was fined $775, had his license suspended for a year, required to attend a three-day counseling program and ordered 30 hours community service for OVI first offense and failure to control.

A March 2 pretrial was set for Melissa L. Huff, 43, Highland Avenue, Salem, charged with OVI first offense and marked lanes.

Christa M. Burnette, 32, East Street, East Palestine, is sentenced to 12 days in jail, fined $800, required to attend a three-day counseling program and ordered 30 hours community service for OVI first offense, driving under suspension, speeding and driving under OVI suspension.

Steven A. Johnson, 68, state Route 14, East Palestine, was fined $400, had his license suspended for a year, required to attend a three-day counseling program and ordered 30 hours community service for physical control and open container.

Joshua Thomas Deesing, 32, Youngstown-Pittsburgh Road, Petersburg, was fined $250, had his license suspended for six months, required to attend a three-day driver intervention and ordered 30 hours community service for reckless operation amended from OVI first offense.

A Feb. 10 pretrial was set for Ryan W. Bevington, 42, South Pearl Street, Columbiana, cited with domestic violence and possession of a drug abuse instrument. Bevington is accused of punching Erin Atkinson in the face and slamming her into the driver’s side window while she was driving on Lisbon Street in Columbiana on Wednesday. Additionally, he reportedly had a syringe and a metal spoon containing white residue in his pocket.

Daniel A. Cunningham, 34, East Eighth Street, East Liverpool, was credited with eight days served, sentenced to an additional seven days in jail, fined $250 and required 40 hours community service for domestic violence for throwing a plate at Jennifer Seese, slamming her onto the bed and threatening to knock her teeth down her throat on Sept. 28.

Carli J. Hochadel, 24, Cunningham Road, Salem, was fined $300, credited with a day in jail and required 35 hours community service for criminal damages and aggravated criminal trespassing amended from burglary. On Dec. 21, Clayton Whitman, her ex-boyfriend, reported he found pillows from his bedroom destroyed and a knife stabbed into his mattress. Investigators stated Hochadel admitted to going into the home and using a knife to cause the damage.

Johnathon M. Weaver, 32, Sprucevale Road, East Liverpool, was fined $200, required 30 hours community service, credited with two days in jail and sentenced to an additional 13 days in jail for driving under suspension, marked lanes and possession of drug abuse instruments for a syringe.

Zachariah L. Rawson, 27, Prichard Avenue, Lisbon, was fined $180 for driving under suspension and display of plates.

Kaitlyn E. Callehan, 18, Etruria Street, East Liverpool, was fined $150 for possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

Jarrett Martin, 24, Youngstown, was fined $100 and had his license suspended for 180 days for possession of marijuana.

Shamar E. Morton, 20, Dover, was fined $150 for disorderly conduct amended from possession of marijuana.

Raymond Lee Edwards, 36, Steubenville, was fined $220 for a expired registration, a headlights violation, a seat belt violation and reckless operation. A citation for no license was dismissed.

Henry Lii Gaetano, 53, Canfield, was fined $150 for speeding.

Jason Thomas Peltz, 44, Jewett, was fined $150 for an equipment violation amended from speeding.

Ronald Smith, 60, Canfield, was fined $100 for an equipment violation amended from speeding.

Chelsey L. Reynolds, 29, Goshen Road, Salem, was fined $60 for expired tag and expired license.

Patrick K. Paterson, 61, Allegheny Trail, Negley, was fined $50 for left of center.
