Grand Jury

LISBON — A former corrections officer accused of helping inmates smuggle drugs into the Columbiana County Jail is among 38 indictments issued this week by the Columbiana County Common Pleas Court grand jury.

Melissa M. Barnhart, 39, 18th Street, Wellsville, is charged with two counts of illegal conveyance of a drug of abuse onto the grounds of a detention facility. She is one of nine open indictments issued from the 40 cases presented to the grand jury, which decided not to indict on two cases. The other eight open indictments are as follows:

Edward M. Morris, Jr., 20, Youngstown, is charged with possession of drugs with a forfeiture specification and possession of criminal tools.

Dominick T. Davidson, 21, Akron, is charged with possession of drugs with a forfeiture specification and possession of criminal tools.

Bryant R. Rather, 31, Pittsburgh, Pa., is charged with improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle and falsification.

Johnathan C. McCoy, 18, Case Road, Beloit, is charged with improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle and receiving stolen property.

Isaac J. Wylie, 18, North Beaver Street, Lisbon, is charged with burglary, a second-degree felony.

Timothy P. Sigler, 20, Cleveland, is charge with complicity to breaking and entering and receiving stolen property.

Stephanie N. Hudson, 25, Avondale Street, East Liverpool, is charged with felonious assault, a second-degree felony.

David E. Boggs, 26, West Pershing Street, Salem, is charged with possession of drugs, carrying a concealed weapon, and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
