LISBON – Wilford Clunk VFW Post 4111 in cooperation with The Counseling Center and Mahoning & Columbiana Training Association (MCTA) presented awards to the top 12 participants in the Leadership Program during a ceremony Aug. 21 at the village gazebo in Lisbon. The three leadership classes replaced the annual MCTA summer jobs program which was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. All classes were conducted virtually over six weeks, with weekly “Base Camp” meetings where participants turned in class activities and work on projects. Cadets who completed the training received a completion bonus from MCTA. Enrollment was spread across Columbiana County with approximately 20 from Lisbon, 15 from United Local, four from East Palestine and the balance from Salem, East Liverpool and Wellsville.
