Bulldog Invite set for today

EAST PALESTINE — The 35th annual Bulldog Invitational Track and Field Meet will be held today at Reid Stadium.

Action starts at 10 a.m. with the boys discus and high jump and girls shot put and long jump and preliminaries in the running events.

Warriors top East Palestine

BELOIT — West Branch blanked East Palestine, 5-0, in tennis action Friday.

West Branch, 4-5 overall and 3-2 in the Northeast Tennis League, will host United on Monday.

Sharon rained out

HARTFORD — The 90th anniversary season opener at Sharon Speedway will have to wait.

Heavy afternoon rain on Friday forced the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and RUSH Sportsman Modified event to be canceled.

The next event at Sharon Speedway will on May 4 with the “Buckeye Cup” featuring the first of three appearances by Tony Stewart’s All Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Cars along with the non-wing RUSH Sprint Cars.

Archery shoot on Sunday

EAST PALESTINE — A 3D archery shoot will be held Sunday at the East Palestine Sportsmen’s Club, not Saturday as previously reported.

Potter sweeps weight events

EAST LIVERPOOL — East Liverpool’s Alessandra Ferrazzano swept the girls field events during Thursday’s meet at Mangano Memorial Track.

Salem junior high track

ALLIANCE — The Salem Junior High girls track team dropped a 78-36 decision to Marlington on Wednesday.

Winners for the Quakers were Rylee Hutton in the 100- and 200-meter dashes along with Hutton, Kylie Skinner, Zoie Reid and Bri Cibula in the 800-meter relay.
