UNITY — East Palestine had the bats ready to go in a 16-6 win over Heartland Christian on Thursday at Next Level Sports Complex.

Jordon Fristik went 5 for 6, while Cameron Wischerman was 4 for 5 for the Bulldogs (3-7). Sean Helpy got the win on the mound and added three hits.

Hayden Stewart had two hits for the Lions (4-4). Caleb Graft added two hits. Zach Labon and Nate Garzanich had doubles.

East Palestine hosts Mohawk (Pa.) on Saturday. Heartland is at East Canton on Monday.

ATWATER — Garrett Cox threw a shutout to lead Lisbon to a 7-0 win over Waterloo on Thursday.

Jaikep Entrikin had two hits including a double for the Devils, while Logan Bell had a double.

MINGO JUNCTION — Troy Carter threw a no-hitter with eight strikeouts as Wellsville topped Jefferson Christian 18-0 in five innings on Thursday.

For the Tigers (5-5), Jason Tice had a hit and three RBIs, while Connor Ramsey had a hit and three RBIs. Caden Weekley had a hit and two RBIs.

Wellsville is at Columbiana on Monday.

Salem 5, Canfield 1

CANFIELD — A night after beating West Branch for the first time in more than eight years, the Salem baseball team topped Canfield for the first time in more than 20 years with a 5-1 victory.

Bryce Owen had a two-run single in the first inning, while Blaise Exline added an RBI single.

Seth Seddon went the distance for the Quakers with four strikeouts. The Salem pitching staff’s ERA was lowered to 2.13 for the season.

Adam Wilson had a two-run single in the fifth inning to aid Salem.

Turner Johnson had two hits.

Salem is 5-5 and will be at Beaver Local on Monday.

MINERVA — Minerva scored three runs in the fifth inning and six in the sixth to rally past United, 11-4, Thursday.

Charlie Bolanz led the Lions with three hits, including a home run and a double, four RBIs and two runs. Alex Kimble had a double, two singles and four runs; Cameron Maley two doubles and three RBIs; Evan Hertel two hits and two runs.

For the Eagles, Brady Leyman had two doubles and two RBIs and Austin Minard two singles and a run.

United will host Southern on Monday.

COLUMBIANA — Columbiana’s baseball team fell to Ursuline by a 10-1 count on Thursday at Firestone Park.

Chase Franken had two hits including a double for Columbiana (4-5). Ryan Fahs had two hits. Evan Kenneally drove in the Clippers’ only run.

Columbiana is at West Branch today.

Indian Creek 10, Liverpool 0

RAYLAND –Isaiah VanDine tossed a five-inning no-hitter as Indian Creek blanked East Liverpool, 10-0, Thursday.

VanDine struck out seven and walked one for Indian Creek, now 5-5 on the season.

Coy Amis drove in four runs for Indian Creek with a double and three singles. Kaly Cottis added two singles and Josh Maurer a single and an RBI.

East Liverpool (1-13) will host Indian Creek on Monday.
