United alumni games slated
HANOVERTON –The United Local sophomore class is hosting an alumni basketball game for United Local graduates on March 15.
A women’s alumni game will take place at 5 p.m. with a 30-and-over men’s alumni game at 6 p.m. and the under-30 alumni game will take place at 7:15 p.m.
Cost is $12 to play. Registration forms can be found on the high school website or picked up in the high school office. Registration forms and fee must be mailed to or returned to the school by March 1.
Wellsville meeting
WELLSVILLE — Wellsville Junior/Senior High School will conduct its mandatory OHSAA spring sports parent/athlete meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday in the auditeria. Athlete and parent/guardian are expected to attend.
Quakers win EBC tourney
SALEM — The Salem seventh-grade girls basketball team won the Eastern Buckeye Conference tournament with a 32-29 win over Carrollton on Thursday.
Rylee Hutton scored 14 points for the Quakers. Annika Murray contributed 10 and Lauryn Barton 5.
Oak Glen Cheerfest
NEW MANCHESTER, W. Va. — Oak Glen High School cheerleaders will be hosting a Cheerfest for preschool to eighth-graders from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 9 at the Oak Glen High School gymnasium.
There will be a performance and awards ceremony at 2:30 p.m. for family.
Cost is $35 for each child. Those attending must bring a packed lunch and those that register no later than Feb. 20 will receive a free Cheerfest T-shirt.
