Edgewood 88, Crestview 58

ASHTABULA — The state-ranked Ashtabula Edgewood boys captured its 20th win of the season and wrapped up the All-American Conference Blue Tier. championship with an 88-58 win over Crestview on Saturday afternoon.

The Warriors — ranked seventh in the Division III state poll — led 25-11 in the first quarter and 50-20 at halftime.

Drake Golden topped the Rebels with 20 points. Jack Yerkey added nine.

Crestview will play at LaBrae on Tuesday.

Minerva 57,Canton Central 23

MINERVA — The Minerva girls raced out of the gate with an 18-0 lead during a 57-23 win over Canton Central Catholic on Saturday afternoon.

The Lions finished off a 16-6 regular season.

Hannah Wayts scored a game-high 13 points and Addie Rhodes 11 points for the Lions. Shelby Wheeler and Nelle Yankovich each grabbed five rebounds.

Canton Central drops to 0-21 on the season.

Minerva 16-6, CCC 0-21.

Minerva posted a 29-1 win in the two-quarter junior varsity game.
