Sherry wins HS Heisman

EAST PALESTINE–East Palestine senior quarterback Parker Sherry has been honored as a Wendy’s High School Heisman winner for the state of Ohio. Sherry is one of two winners from Ohio, with the other being Bronte Johnson from Gahanna Lincoln. The Wendy’s High School Heisman has been in existence for 25 years and has honored more than 600,000 high school seniors nationwide.

Beech named All-OAC

ALLIANCE–Mount Union junior women’s soccer player Lauren Beech, a United Local graduate, has been named a second-team All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection. Beech was the Purple Raiders’ leading scorer this season finishing with seven goals over 18 games. Mount Union ended the 2018 season with an overall record of 11-7 and a third place finish in the OAC at 7-2.

Crestview Tip-Off Lunch

COLUMBIANA–The Crestview girls basketball program will be holding its 2nd annual Tip-Off Lunch at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 18th in the middle school cafeteria. A pasta lunch will be served by this season’s team and former coach Tanja Simione will be the featured speaker. Cost to attend is $10. Children five and under eat free. Rebel Run 5K

COLUMBIANA–The 11th annual Rebel Run 5K Run/Walk will be held at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, November 17 at Crestview High School. Registration and check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. in the Crestview auditorium.
