Rebels move to 6-0

ASHTABULA — Emily Emch had 13 kills and five points in Crestview’s 25-14, 25-12, 25-19 win over Edgewood on Thursday in All-American Conference play.

Crestview is 6-0.

Molly Emch had five kills and three blocks. Amelia Montgomery had eight aces, six digs and 13 points.

Haley Eskra had 15 assists, eight points, two aces and six digs.

Crestview won the jayvee match, 25-17, 26-24. Shelby Rambo had six kills. Preslyn Wolfe added five kills.

Southern 3, Lisbon 0

LISBON — Southern knocked off Lisbon 25-21, 25-19, 25-21 on Thursday in Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference action.

Erin Boyle had 14 points and six digs for the Indians, 6-1, 5-1. Alexis Rhodes had 10 points, Riley Felton 14 kills and five blocks, Hannah Hayes 22 assists and four kills, Maddie Paxson six kills and Kyleigh Ketchum eight assists.

For Lisbon, Corinne Freeman 10 kills and 10 blocks and Maddie Liberati nine kills and five blocks.

The Blue Devils are 6-3 and 4-2 EBC.

Lisbon won the junior varsity match, 25-14, 25-8. Taylor Deland led the Blue Devils with 11 points. Delainey Mellott had four points for the Indians.

Southern hosts Buckeye Local on Monday, while Lisbon travels to Wellsville on Tuesday.

East Palestine 1

EAST PALESTINE — Wellsville remained unbeaten in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference by tallying past East Palestine, 19-25, 25-11, 25-10, 25-10, Thursday.

The Tigers are 7-1 overall and 6-0 in league play, while the Bulldogs even their mark at 5-5 and 3-3.

For the Tigers, Kiki Perry posted 21 kills and four blocks. Regan Pierson added 41 assists and Kinley Martin had 12 kills. Delaney Cochran chipped in 10 kills and four aces. Jenna McNicol had 23 digs.

For the Bulldogs, Mady Pickett had three aces and 20 assists, Madee Foster nine points and seven kills and Emily Berger seven kills.

East Palestine won the junior varsity match, 29-27, 23-25, 26-24. For the Tigers, Kate Exline had 11 kills and Paige Green had five aces and 13 assists.

Wellsville hosts Heartland on Monday.

United 3, Columbiana 0

HANOVERTON — United’s volleyball team came through with a 25-12, 25-18, 25-20 win over Columbiana on Thursday night.

Rachel Bowen had 19 kills, six aces and eight points. Savannah Burton had 10 kills. Kyleigh Daggy had seven kills and six points. United is 3-6 and 3-3. Columbiana falls to 2-6.

Tori Long had four kills and seven digs for the Clippers. Alyssa Tohm added 13 digs and six assists.

United is at Salem on Saturday.

Beaver 3, Buckeye 0

CALCUTTA — Beaver Local swept Buckeye Local, 25-14, 25-4, 25-11, Thursday.

For the Beavers, Morgan Bouscher had six kills; Hannah Call seven aces; Karlee Furman five kills and five assists; Grace Hill four kills; Elaina Howell six aces and 11 assists; Madison Kendall 13 assists; Madison Smith nine kills; Brooke Talbot had five kills; and Heavyn Wolski three aces and two kills.

The Beavers will play at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Dig Pink game at Franciscan University.

Beaver Local also won the junior varsity match, 25-16, 25-12, as Brooke Talbot had six aces, five kills and 12 assists and Emma Roberts had four aces and four kills.

In the freshman match, Beaver Local won 25-9, 25-7. Leading the way for the Beavers were Elizabeth Kolkowski and Hannah Kelly.

South Range 3, Hubbard 0

GREENFORD — South Range rolled over Hubbard, 25-13, 25-11, 25-20, Thursday.

Leaders for South Range were Emily Irons with 16 assists, three aces and three kills and Anna Primavera with 18 kills and six digs.

The Raiders will play at Jackson-Milton Monday.

Carrollton 3, West Branch 2

CARROLLTON — West Branch’s volleyball team suffered a 21-25, 25-21, 24-26, 25-23, 16-14 loss to Carrollton on Thursday.

West Branch is at Mooney on Saturday.

Canton South 3, Minerva 2

MINERVA — Canton South topped Minerva 18-25, 25-9, 25-15, 17-25, 15-3 on Thursday in an Eastern Buckeye Conference contest.

Springfield 3, Lowellville 0

NEW MIDDLETOWN — Springfield’s volleyball team picked up a 25-6, 25-10, 25-4 on Thursday.

Makenzy Capouellez had 22 digs for the Eagles. Lyndsey Smith had 12 kills and 19 points. Jennie Stitzel had 13 points. Kaelen Yemma had 27 assists.

Springfield won the jayvee portion. Waterloo comes to Springfield on Tuesday.
