Perez, Muslovski are All-Ohio
COLUMBUS — The Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference is going to be loaded in the backcourt the next couple of seasons.
Sophomore guards Izzy Perez of Lisbon and Kayla Muslovski of Columbiana earned third-team honors on the All-Ohio high school girls basketball team released Monday by the Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association.
Perez was the area’s only representative in Division IV after leading the Blue Devils to a 17-10 record and their first district title since 1991.
Perez led the team in scoring (15.8), steals (5.2) and assists (4.0). She also had 4.4 rebounds per game.
Muslovski claimed third-team honors in Division III as she guided the Clippers to a 21-3 season and the inaugural EOAC title.
Muslovski averaged a team-high 21.0 points along with six steals, four assists and three rebounds a game while shooting 51 percent from the field.
A pair of South Range players, senior Maddie Durkin and freshman Dani Vuletich, received Division III honorable mention.
Durkin led the Raiders (21-5) in scoring a second straight season as she averaged 12.7 points along with 6.3 rebounds, 2.1 steals and 1.6 assists per game.
Vuletich was the Raiders’ leading rebounder with 9.8 per game. She also averaged 11.7 points and and 1.2 steals.
The Division I and II All-Ohio teams will be announced tonight.
