Warriors clinch No. 14

BELOIT–The top-ranked West Branch girls basketball team has had no peer in the Northeastern Buckeye Conference all season.

The Warriors wrapped up their second straight conference title by taking down Alliance 70-13 Saturday.

Natalie Zuchowski powered the Warriors (18-0, 12-0 NBC) with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Hannah Ridgway added nine points, while Kayla Hovorka and Peyton Alazaus had eight points apiece. Eleven different Warriors scored.

It is the 14th NBC title in program history and the last one before the conference disbands after this season.

In twelve NBC games, the Warriors defense has limited opponents to an average of 29.7 points per game.

The Warriors conclude conference play at home against Marlingon on Monday and at Louisville Wednesday.

West Branch won the jayvee game 60-16.
