Columbiana 68, Wellsville 21

WELLSVILLE–The Columbiana girls basketball team raced to a 41-point halftime lead and coasted to a 68-21 win over Wellsville Friday.

Kayla Muslovski paced the Clippers (6-0, 4-0 EOAC) with 21 points, nine steals and five assists. Kennedy Fullum added 14 points. Alexis Cross tallied 11 points. Tessa Liggett had seven points and six steals, while Grace Hammond had nine rebounds.

Menina Jackson led the Tigers (1-7, 0-4) with 14 points.

Wellsville is at United Monday, while Columbiana is at Toronto Monday.

Leetonia 46, East Palestine 40

LEETONIA–The Leetonia girls beat East Palestine 46-40 in Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference action on Friday.

For Leetonia, Ari Russel had 19 points with 12 rebounds and Kayla Jackson had 13 points with 12 rebounds.

For East Palestine, Brysten Trosky had 13 points and Marlaina Frye had six points.

East Palestine hosts Heartland Christian today. Leetonia travels to Lisbon on Monday.

NEW MIDDLETOWN –Alexis Hughes had 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead Western Reserve to a 61-52 win over Springfield on Thursday.

Kennedy Miller added 11 points, three assists and three steals. Western Reserve is 6-0.

Laura Sigworth had 10 points, seven rebounds and three steals.

Haley LaMorticella had 13 points for the Tigers.

The Blue Devils host Waterloo on Monday.

Western Reserve won the jayvee contest, 42-16, in a game shortened to two quarters. Olivia Pater had 13 points for the Devils.

SEBRING — Lowellville defeated Sebring 48-25 on Thursday in Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference action.

Olivia Woods and Olivia Reggi had eight points each for the Trojans.
