Wilson grabs top honors

ALLIANCE — Jared Wilson took individual medalist honors with a 72 as Columbiana took fifth out of 15 teams on Friday at the Tannenhauf Invitational.

The Clippers shot 346 overall. Gilmour Academy won the tournament with a 311.

Rounding out the Clippers wer Seth Ross with an 81, Nate Whitehead with a 95 and Sean Whitehead with a 98.

Salem tri

PARIS — Salem’s girls golf team finished behind Louisville and Marlington in a tri-match on Thursday at Pleasant View Golf Club.

Marlington won with a 160. Kaitlyn Englehart had a 39 to lead the way.

Louisville carded a 175 with Alexis Beaver shooting a 39.

Salem registered a 242. For the Quakers, Makayla Stoffer had a 54, Camryn Riley 56, Sloan Rudibaugh 6 and Emily Weikert 67.

Toronto 193,

East Palestine 196

TORONTO — Toronto shot a 193 on Wednesday at Dyer Country Club to edge out East Palestine’s 196. The co-medalists were Zach Gulczynski of Toronto and East Palestine’s Nick Yarosz who each shot 46.

Justin Spratt carded a 49, while Ricky Bell had a 50 and Nick Welch 51 for the Bulldogs.
