Rebels in regional
MASSILLON — Crestview will be making its first appearance in the regional baseball tournament this week.
The Rebels will play Doylestown Chippewa (18-6) in a Division III regional semifinal at 2 p.m. Thursday at Massillon High School’s field, 1 George Red Bird Drive SE. Crestview will be the visiting team. Admission is $7 and parking $2.

Memorial golf outing set
CALUCTTA — The 11th annual Mathugh Johnston Memorial Golf Outing will be held at 8 a.m. July 1 at Beaver Creek Meadows Golf Course.
Cost of the four-man scramble is $260 per team, which includes food, beverages, hole prizes, door prizes and a free hole-in-one shot for a two-year lease on a 2017 car courtesy of Donnell Ford of Salem. 5K run in Damascus
DAMASCUS — The Damascus Friends Church will hold a Celebrate Recovery 5K at 9 a.m. on Saturday. This years race will have both a running and walking category. Register on the church’s web site or from 8 to 8:45 a.m. on the day of the race.
