Potters place sixth at Warren JFK Invitational

WARREN – The East Liverpool golf team placed sixth out of 14 teams with a score of 351 at the Warren JFK Invitational Monday.

Lake Catholic took first place with a score of 318.

Top scorers for East Liverpool were Isaac Davidson (75), Alex Tambelini (88), Austin Burson (94), Jay Lane (94) and Hunter Mays (105).

East Liverpool will be at Conotton Valley on Wednesday.

East Palestine 162, United 205

NEGLEY – D.J. Bandy shot a 36 in leading East Palestine past United, 162-205, at the East Palestine Country Club on Monday.

Also for the Bulldogs, Andy Ellis had a 40, Ryen Kemp 41 and Tom Dumbauld 45.

For United, Hayden Wilson had a 41, Caleb Berdine 48, Andrew Berresford 56 and Zach Morris 60

East Palestine improves to 2-0, while United falls to 0-1.

The Bulldogs will host Beaver Local today.

Wellsville 183,

Lowellville 238

CALCUTTA – The Wellsville golf team downed Lowellville, 183-238, at Beaver Meadows on Monday.

Nick Bayer had the low score with a round of 41. Also for the Tigers, Jace Cartwright shot a 41, Noah Palmer 48 and Jake Green 51.

Jackson-Milton 94, Crestview 102

LAKE MILTON – Jackson-Milton defeated Crestview 94-102 at Lakeside Golf Course Monday.

Chance Proverbs had the low score with a round of 20, followed by Matt Johns (24), Bryce Colosimo (24) and Nick Householder (26).

For Crestview, Craig Landsberger had the low score of 23, followed by Kayden Davis (24), Taylor Coblentz (27) and Brittany Coblentz (28).

Lisbon 109,

Springfield 123

GUILFORD LAKE – The Lisbon golf team opened with a win over Springfield in a rain-shorted match at Twin Springs on Monday.

Lisbon totaled a 109, while Springfield had a 123 in a match that was called after five holes.

For Lisbon, Avery Andric had a 23, Logan Kress 28, James Cox 28 and Branson Brownfield 30.

For Springfield, Corey Karabint had a 26, Garret Doraw 30, John Danks 33 and Tyler Harbert 34.

Western Reserve 168, Leetonia 190

CANFIELD – Western Reserve started off its golf season strong with a win over Leetonia 168-190 Friday at Diamondback Golf Course.

Scorers for Western Reserve were Nolan Snyder (37), Ethan Grim (37), Alex Kirk (48), Kyle Mato (48) and Brandon Martin (46).

For Leetonia, scorers were Josh Falkner (43), Gary Valentine (46), Hunter White (48) and Brandon Curtz (53).
