East Liverpool holds back Ursuline

EAST LIVERPOOL-Isaac Davidson fired a 35 to lead the East Liverpool golf team past Ursuline 173-185 Friday at East Liverpool Country Club.

Also for the Potters, Austin Burson had a 44, Alex Tambalini 45, and Jay Lane 49.

Michael Butch paced Ursuline with a 49.

The Potters are back in action Monday at the Warren JFK Invitational at Trumbull County Country Club.

ASA, Minerval Ridge at Crestview

COLUMBIANA-The Crestview golf team defeated American Spirit Academy and Mineral Ridge in a tri match Friday at Copeland Hills.

The Rebels came in with 191 strokes, while the Rams shot a 202 and ASA shot 261.

Craig Landsberger took home medalist honors and led the Rebels with a 44. He was backed up by Kaden davis who shot a 45, while Taylor Coblentz carded a 48 and Major Boston had a 54.

Matt Brophey was the low man for ASA with a 46, while Collin Cameron led Mineral Ridge with a 48.

Beaver Local 215,

Niles 226

EAST LIVERPOOL-The Beaver Local girls golf team won their opening match of the season Friday, downing Niles 215-226 at Turkana Golf Course.

The Beavers were led by Taylor Plunkett, who fired a 47 en route to medalist honors.

Also for Beaver Local, Reed McGeehan shot a 54, Laurel Meredith, Carsyn Hoppel and Lauren Plunkett all had 57s while Bekah Kylar turned in a 60.

Mia Salvato led Niles with a 52.

The Beavers will be in action Tuesday at the CCC Preseason Tournament at Pleasant View Golf Club in Louisville.
