Clippers move record to 5-0

COLUMBIANA-The Columbiana golf team remained unbeaten with a 152-180 win over Crestview Thursday at Valley.

Bruce Wiggins led the Clippers with a 34, while Joe Lucci shot a 37, Jared Wilson 38 and Griffin Williams 43.

Columbiana is 5-0.

For the Rebels (5-4, 3-3 ITCL upper tier), Craig Landsberger turned in a 40, Kaden Davis and Taylor Coblentz each shot 45 and Brittany Coblentz added a 50.

West Branch 169,

Canton South 181

SALEM – West Branch’s golf team topped Canton South 169-181 on Thursday at Flying ‘B’.

For the Warriors (3-4, 2-3), Bobby Parsons had a 40, Ben Fitzpatrick 42, Blake Glista 43 and Nate Coy 44.

Kaleb DeVaul had a 39 to top Canton South.

West Branch hosts Minerva today.

Poland 231

COLUMBIANA – Columbiana’s girls golf team secured a 174-231 victory over Poland on Thursday at Valley.

For the Clippers (4-0), Alexa Tringhese had a 39, Ally Moreschi 43, Elise Hammond 45 and Shannon Marshburn 47.

Nia Spencer had a 49 to lead Poland.

Columbiana is at Lowellville on Tuesday.

South Range 159, Springfield 224

BOARDMAN-South Range breezed by Springfield 159-224 in golf action Thursday.

For the Raiders (2-3), Tom Roux had a 38, Brycen James 39, Brooks Thomas 40 and Ryan Turnbull 42.

The Tigers were led by Corey Karabin with a 52, while John Danks had a 54, Tyler Harbert 58 and Eric Swasinger 60.

South Range hosts Crestview on Monday.

Western Reserve 182, Wellsville 203

CANFIELD-Nolan Snyder fired a 36 as Western Reserve downed Wellsville 182-203 in golf action Thursday at Diamond Back.

Also for the Blue Devils, Ethan Grimm shot a 37, Alex Kirk 52 and Kyle Martin 57.

For Wellsville, Nick Bayer shot 43, while Jace Cartwright had a 52 and Nolan Palmer and Jake Green each turned in 54s.

Canton Central Catholic 188, Salem 236

SALEM – The Salem girls golf team struggled with Canton Central Catholic Thursday as the Crusaders won 188-236 at Salem Golf Club.

Leading for the Quakers was Courtney Halter with 48, followed by Megan Hoover with 56, Sarai Bodine with 65 and Marly Zeigler with 67.

Michele Vlacovsky shot a 39 to lead the Crusaders, followed by Teresa Williams with a 40, Sydney Bruckner with 51, Alexis Niemi with 58, Laura Vlacovsky with 59 and Morgan Dolan with 64.
