Clippers handle Bulldogs

COLUMBIANA – The Columbiana softball team dominated East Palestine in a doubleheader Saturday.

The Clippers blew out the Bulldogs 19-0 in the first game as Lauren Schlueter led with five RBIs and two doubles and Madison Rosessler had four RBIs and a triple. Madison Macklin pitched a no-hitter as she struck out four.

The Clippers also dominated in the second game, winning 16-0 as Danyelle McMaster led with two singles and two RBIs, and Holly Gotthardt won on the mound as she struck out eight and gave up two hits.

For the Bulldogs (0-6), Sadie Walker and Sydney Smith each hit a single in the second game.

The Clippers improve to 5-1 and head to Sebring on Monday.
