Police identify fourth victim in Ohio killings

September 3, 2014
Associated Press

BUCYRUS, Ohio (AP) — Police say they've identified the last victim in a small Ohio city where four men were killed in four different homes.

Police say 65-year-old Gerald Lee Smith was a victim in a series of beatings in Bucyrus (byoo-SY'-rus), about 65 miles north of Columbus.

Found dead Monday were 55-year-old Billy Jack Chatman and 67-year-old Freelin Hensley. On Tuesday, the body of 65-year-old Darrell Lewis was found in his apartment. Smith's body also was found Tuesday in an apartment in the same complex.

Police say the slayings are likely related, but they don't know if the men knew each other.

A suspect is in custody but hasn't been charged.
