LISBON - A Sept. 8 preliminary hearing was set in county Municipal Court for Mitchell A. Backer, 19, Calcutta-Smith Ferry Road, East Liverpool, charged with receiving stolen property for allegedly having a Chevy pickup owned by Kayla Schneider on Aug. 24.
A Sept. 8 preliminary hearing was set for Brandon L. Shields, 19, Bell School Road, Calcutta, charged with tampering with evidence and receiving stolen property for allegedly providing false reports to highway patrol troopers investigating a receiving stolen property complaint and having a Chevy pickup owned by Kayla Schneider on Aug. 24.
A Sept. 8 preliminary hearing was set for Dana L. Duffield, charged with breaking and entering for allegedly taking a Dell computer, two space heaters and three picture frames from the Columbiana County Fair Board office on Aug. 26.
John Jeffrey Dunlop, 55, Iroquois Trail, Negley, was fined $830, had his license suspended for 180 days, required attendance at a three-day counseling program and 25 hours community service for OVI first offense, lane violations, a seat belt violation and open container.
Barry S. Rummel, 50, North Pleasant Drive, East Palestine, was fined $680, credited with 90 days served, had his license suspended for six months for OVI refusal first offense, driving under suspension, lane violation and a seat belt violation. An obstructing official business citation for refusing to get out of the patrol car or identify himself to police was dismissed.
Charles G. Hazelbaker, was fined $725, had his license suspended for six months, required 20 hours of community service and ordered to attend a three-day program for physical control amended from OVI first offense and failure to display a valid sticker.
Diana L. Andre, 34, Franklin Avenue, Salem, was fined $250, credited with two days served and required 25 hours community service for theft for stuffing stolen merchan-dise from Walmart under the seat of her vehicle on May 16.
Keith R. Cosentino, 26, Orchard Grove Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $130 for driving under suspension and lighted lights required.
Timothy W. Homan, 47, Steubenville Pike, Lisbon, was fined $100, credited with four days served in jail and required 30 hours community service for disorderly conduct. Homan was arguing loudly with his live-in girlfriend Denise Hays on Saturday after both were directed to be quiet and stay away from each other. An Oct. 7 pretrial was set for Hays, 44, Steubenville Pike, Lisbon, also cited with disorderly conduct while voluntarily intoxicated.
Andrea Ann Baddeley, 21, New Garden Avenue, Salem, was fined $150, credited with one day served in jail and required 20 hours community service for disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence for striking Robert H. Wheaton III on July 27, leaving scratches and lumps.
Garry W. Allison, 58, Brookdale, East Palestine, was fined $150 for speeding.
Nicholas L. Bona, 29, Columbus, was fined $150 for disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence for reportedly grabbing Erika Mudd by the neck with both hands and trying to choke her at a Beaver Creek State Park campground on May 25.
Peter Darrell Fiest Jr., 41, East Main Street, East Palestine, was fined $100 for disorderly conduct for his actions while intoxicated on Aug. 23.
Dennis A. Huk, 56, Union Street, Columbiana, was fined $75 for no license amended from driving under FRA suspension.
Michael C. Matthews, 42, East Clark Street, East Palestine, was fined $50, credited with one day served and required 20 hours community service for obstructing official business for going into the house to retrieve his identification card at the request of police, but failing to return, leaving instead by the back door on May 22.
A domestic violence charge against Jeffrey R. Harper II, 20, Clark Avenue, Mount Union College, Alliance, was dis-missed on a motion by the prosecutor. Harper had alleg-edly threatened to beat up his father and break him in half.
A driving under suspension citation against Aaron J. Scheel, 25, state Route 558, Columbiana, was dismissed due to a BMV error.
A Sept. 4 pretrial was set for Paula J. McFarland, 36, Teegarden Road, Salem, cited with passing bad checks for allegedly paying Foxes Pizza in Lisbon with a $10 check from a closed account on May 7.
A Sept. 11 pretrial was set for Brad A. Martin, 37, Depot Road, Salem, charged with domestic violence and resisting arrest for allegedly grabbing his 2-year-old daughter by the wrist, lifting her in the air, smacking her on the right leg and backside area four times and carrying her by the wrist into another room to throw her onto a couch, before repeating the action by carrying her into the bedroom by the wrist to throw her onto her bed. He also allegedly tried to walk away from police when they were attempting to arrest him.
A Sept. 11 pretrial was set for Jennifer L. Seachrist, 27, Spillway Road, Lisbon, cited with violating a temporary protection order for allegedly going into a home with a protected person, Ashton McMaster, and speaking to another protected person, Sharon Donnelly, on Sunday. Seachrist was fined $50 for failure to display a valid sticker.
A Sept. 11 pretrial was set for Thomas G. Piatt, 20, West Pershing, Salem, charged with domestic violence for allegedly causing injuries to the neck and cheek of Sam-antha Briceland on Sunday.
