Robert E. Vincent, age 75, of Lisbon, Ohio passed away at Trinity West Hospital in Steubenville, Oh. on Saturday, July 12, 2014, after a lengthy illness.
The son of the late Eldon and Leola (Lutton) Vincent, Mr. Vincent was born in East Liverpool on January 7, 1939 and had lived his entire life in this area. He was employed as a Chemist at the former Engelhard Co. now known as the BASF Chemical Company retiring in 2001.
A graduate of East Liverpool High School he enjoyed being outside in the nature, enjoyed bird watching, fishing, and traveling in his R.V. He was also a member of the VFW Post 6450 of Chester, W.V.
Mr. Vincent is survived by his wife, Cheryl (Schultz) Vincent of the home, who he married on May 8, 1993. Four Sons, Robert (Cynthia) Vincent of Elyria, Oh., Richard (Kimberly) Vincent of Virginia Beach, Va., Stephen Vincent of Ft. Myers, Fl. and Kevin (Michelle) Blaner of Newell, W.V. Two daughters; Denise Blaner of East Liverpool and Tanya Bailey of Lisbon, Ohio. Two sisters, Jean (Dean) Sawders of Winter Haven, Fl. and Sherrill (Donnie) Bailey of Lisbon, Oh. 18 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Vincent was preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn (Miller) Vincent, and one brother, David Vincent.
Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Monday, July 14, 2014, at 7:30 PM with Pastor Mark Blakely of the First Christian Church of Wellsville officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home in Calcutta Monday from 5:30 up until time of services at 7:30 PM.
