KENSINGTON - Mary Joe Moore, 78 of Kensington, Ohio, died peacefully in her sleep on July 3 at Blossom Nursing Center.
She was born June 23, 1936, in Kensington, Ohio.
She was preceded by her parents, Joe and Irene Bolen; and her late husbands, James P. Allmon and Samuel A. Moore.
Mary worked at American Paper Products for many years, retiring to Lake Okeechobee, Fla., for 35 years. Upon returning to Ohio she made her home with her beloved sister, Betty McKarns.
Mary Joe always looked forward to her Tuesday outings to have lunch at Adele's Place with her friends. She belonged to Kensington First Christian Church.
Mary Joe, Nana, will be missed as she is now our angel amongst us.
Survivors include her three daughters, Trudy (David) Detchon of Lisbon, Robin Leach of Cuyahoga Falls, Julie (Roland) Williams Jr. of Berlin Center; two sisters, Betty McKarns and Rachael (Harold) Haynam; a brother, Ronald (Donna) Bolen; a niece, Deb (Charles) Vona; a nephew, Timothy McKarns; six grandchildren, Trudy, James, Michael, Krista, Jeremiah and Joshua; and seven great-grandchildren, Devin, Alicia, Austin, McKenzie, Jacob, Kaitlynn and Synthia.
Upon Mary Joe's request, there will be no services held.
A celebration of her life and remembrance will be held Sunday, July 13, from 1 to 5 p.m. in a picnic setting a 5619 S. Pricetown Road, Berlin Center, Ohio.
So, bring your pictures, memories, lawn chairs and smiles because that was Mom's wishes.
