Driver carried out of Bull Creek

March 13, 2014
Morning Journal News

Forty-seven-year-old David Valiquette of New Waterford is rescued by New Waterford firefighters after crashing his Chevy truck into Bull Creek at the intersection of state Routes 558 and 46 east of the village Tuesday night. Valiquette was transported to St. Elizabeth's Medical Center with possible leg and hip injuries. Valiquette was not wearing a seat belt. Alcohol is suspected as a contributing factor in the accident, investigating highway patrol trooper Vic Wolfe said. Valiquette was spotted in his partially submerged pickup by passerby Cory Boggs, who noticed two people stopped along the road looking toward the creek. Boggs entered the creek and climbed into Valiquette's pickup, talking to him until help arrived.
