Pleasantville, OH - Donald L. Barborak, 69, of Carroll Eastern Rd. NE, passed away peacefully at 5:40am, Sunday, February 9, 2014 at Heartland-Fairfield following an extended illness.
Mr. Barborak was born September 2, 1944 in Salem, Ohio, a son of the late Steve M. and Ada (Stark) Barborak.
A 1964 graduate of Beaver Local High School, Donald worked as a mechanic for various companies throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania and Nevada. He also served during the Vietnam War as a member of the U.S. Navy.
He was a member of the St. Agatha's Catholic Church in West Point.
Donald is survived by his sisters, Donna (John) Persohn of Pleasantville, Ohio, Carol (William) Johnson of Ashville, Ohio and Terri (Don) Beckman of Dublin, Ohio; brother, Steve M. (Lois) Barborak of Smithfield, Rhode Island; many nieces and nephews; and by his loving toy poodle, Bugsy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Ann Barborak.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm, Thursday, February 13, 2014 at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Edwards officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at the Lisbon Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from noon until the time of services Thursday at the funeral home.
