Salineville - Anna Frances Smith Cechura, 66, of Washington Street, died Saturday evening at UPMC Shadyside, Pittsburgh, PA with her family at her side.
She was born September 16, 1947, in Flatlick, KY, a daughter of the late John and Mildred King Smith.
Frances lived all her life in the Salineville area, graduating from Southern Local High School. She was a member of the Southern Hills Church of Christ. She enjoyed camping and working with ceramics. She was a dedicated mother and homemaker.
Frances will be sadly missed by her two sons, Joseph Cechura and Larry Cechura both of Salineville; six siblings, Charlotte (Ike) LeMasters, John (Patricia) McElroy, Brenda "Sue" (Roger) Higginbotham, Craig McElroy, Nancy Dickson, Cindy McElroy, all of Salineville; a sister-in-law, Nancy Thomas; three grandchildren, Kristie (Jonathan) Yoho of Calcutta, Nicholas Cechura of Salineville, Christian Cechura of Hanoverton, and one great grandchild, Kayden Yoho of Calcutta.
Besides her parents Frances was preceded in death by her other father John McElroy who raised her. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Larry O. Cechura, in 2009.
A service will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Kerr-Pastore Funeral Home in Salineville, Ohio with Minister Buck Groves of the Southern Hills Church of Christ officiating.
Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM.
