Ronald Strait

Lisbon - Ronald Duane Strait, 81, of Freeman Rd., passed away Sunday, February 9, 2014 at his home.

Ronald was born May 14, 1932 in Marshall County, WV, the son of the late Ronald Jessie and Bernadine Mary (Mathews) Strait.

Mr. Strait was a member of the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a Bail Bondsman and owner of Liberty Bonding.

Ronald was a member of the Lisbon VFW Post 4111, the Lisbon Eagles Aerie 2216 and the Leetonia Sportsman club. He was an avid golfer and bowler and he enjoyed his time at his hunting camp near Clearfield, PA.

Mr. Strait is survived by his wife Patricia (Gannon) Strait whom he married on Aug. 25, 1950; Daughters, Cathleen Miller, Ronnetta Seroka, and Debra (John R.) Stevens, Jr all of Lisbon; Former son-in-law Gary L. Beverly, Sr. of Lisbon; Grandchildren, Francis Miller, Christopher Miller, Megan Papic, Mitchell Lacey, Michael Lacey, Ronald Lacey, Gary Lee (Tina) Beverly Jr., Kevin J. Beverly, Jennifer L. (Jonathon) Kidder; 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his grandson Joseph P. Miller and sons-in-law Gary Seroka and Francis J. Miller Sr.

Funeral Services will be held 11am, Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with Rev. Father James Lang officiating. Burial will follow in the Lisbon Cemetery with full Military honors.

The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm on Tuesday and from 10am until the time of services on Wednesday.
