CALCUTTA - A truckload of heating oil was stolen overnight Monday from Smith Feed Supply in St. Clair Township.

According to St. Clair police, an officer on patrol at 3:41 a.m. Tuesday noticed the man door open in a rear building of the East Liverpool Road business. When keyholder Scott Smith arrived, he found an oil delivery truck had been stolen.

The officer saw fresh tire tracks leading from the parking lot onto the road, traveling north toward state Route 7. The truck was found at about 8 a.m. parked along Fairmont Road in Elkrun Township.

It had not been wrecked but an estimated 1,200 gallons of heating oil had been removed from the truck.
