Ronald Handwork

NEW WATERFORD - Ronald D. "Bud" Handwork Jr., 54, of New Waterford, passed away unexpectedly later Sunday evening, December 22 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Youngstown.

Mr. Handwork was born on November 20, 1959 in Youngstown, a son of Ronald and Mary Ann (Reed) Handwork Sr. He was a life-long area resident.

He was a 1978 South Range High School graduate, and married his only love the former Cindy Baker on May 28, 1994.

Bud worked for NAPA in North Lima before joining LEB Contracting in East Palestine. There he worked as head mechanic and assistant foreman as well as truck driver. He had worked there for over twenty years. Bud loved his job and was known to be able to fix and build anything.

Bud loved collecting antique cars and NASCAR, especially Billy Elliott. But by far, he found truck pulling the most rewarding. He owned and operated Bull Headed, a pull truck that he built himself and entered in truck pulls all over the state. Bud won many awards and trophies with his truck. He belonged to OSTPA Ohio State Truck Pull Association, and also the Full Pull Association. He was also a member of the Beaver Township Fire Department.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory his wife, Cindy; his father Ronald Handwork Sr. of North Lima; a sister Mary Hunt of Texas; brothers- in law Larry Baker and Dave Baker of East Palestine; sister-in-law Sharri Kintz of East Palestine; nephew Shawn Kintz and nieces Anna and Michelle Baker, all of East Palestine, nieces Laureen Handwork, Stephanie and Taylor Hunt, all of Texas; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Bud was preceded in death by mother, Mary Ann.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 26 at 7:00 pm at Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home, 11500 Market Street, North Lima with Pastor Russ Libb officiating.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 4:00 7:00 pm at the funeral home.The Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in North Lima, Ohio has been entrusted with the arrangements for their loved one.
