Chelsey Renee Stockdale weds Ryan E. Stowers

EAST LIVERPOOL - Chelsey Renee Stockdale and Ryan Earl Stowers were united in marriage on July 20 at the Trinity Presbyterian Church, East Liverpool.

The bride is the daughter of Michael and Theresa Stockdale, East Liverpool.

The groom is the son of Brian Stowers and Davena Stowers, East Liverpool.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a strapless diamond white gown featuring a sweetheart neckline, asymmetrical corset bodice and handmade flowers with Swarovski crystals. She carried a bouquet of calla and tiger lilies, purple and green hydrangeas, accented with forget me knots, crystals and a white satin wrapped stem. Attached to her bouquet was a charm of her late grandmother, Janice Kay Leon Stockdale.

Marissa Yeager Steele, East Liverpool, served as matron of honor, in a pansy chiffon dress with shirred bodice, draped skirt and rhinestone shoulder strap. In kiwi chiffon dress were Ashley Sullivan Butler, Emily Mahon, both of East Liverpool; Brittany Champion, Irondale; Emily Swogger, Jackie Morris, Brittany Bright, all of Wheeling,W.Va.; Lindsay Hartzell Staten, Scio; and Shelby Mackall Stowers, sister-in-law of the groom, Havelock, N.C. Flower girls were Esmaria Heck, East Liverpool, cousin of the groom; and Brooklyn Cowart, Chester, W.Va.

Performing the duties of best man was Dylan Stowers, Havelock, N.C., brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Timothy Moore, Iowa; James Lonkert, cousin of the groom, Robbie Rowe, both of East Liverpool; Joshua Honaker, Roger Glaspell, Marcus Broadwater, all of Logan County, W.Va.; and Nick Benavides, Kanawha County, W.Va. Liam Jordan, cousin of the bride, East Liverpool, was ring bearer.

Halle Jordan, Genevieve Maddox and Joseph Maddox, all cousins of the bride, distributed programs and bubbles.

A reception immediately followed at East Liverpool Country Club.

A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom's parents, was held at Levanti's Italian Restaurant in Beaver, Pa.

The bride is a 2008 graduate of East Liverpool High School and earned a bachelor's in elementary education and special education from West Liberty University in 2012. She is also currently working towards a master's in special education at West Virginia University. She is employed as a K-4 special education teacher in Chapmanville and as Logan High School's head volleyball coach.

The groom is also a 2008 graduate of East Liverpool High School and a 2012 graduate of West Liberty University where he earned a bachelor's in criminal justice. He is also a graduate of the West Virginia State Police Academy and is currently a West Virginia State Trooper.

Following a honeymoon to the Carolinas, the couple reside in Chapmanville, W.Va.
