SALINEVILLE - Law enforcement officials are searching for a 19-year-old mentally disabled Salineville woman after she disappeared with an unidentified white male Tuesday.

According to Salineville Police Chief Andrew Straley, Chelsea Stofen was last seen in Salineville between 4 and 6 p.m. with the man. He is described as between 5-feet-11 and 6-feet-1 weighing 180-200 pounds.

It appears Stofen met the man through a social media website, Straley said.

Chelsea Stofen’s hair is shorter than what is shown here.

Chelsea is 5-foot-2 with brown eyes and short dark brown hair that is spiked on the top. She was wearing blue jeans, a green sweater and calf-high black boots. She was also wearing glasses and carrying a silver purse.

Straley noted that Stofen has a disability which causes her to have a mental age younger than her actual age.

Straley's department is working with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, including the county sheriff, highway patrol, FBI and BCI.

He expected for an Amber Alert for Stofen to be issued sometime on Thursday.

"All we want is her safe return," said Straley said. "We're exhausting every possible resource with this - it's a top priority."

Anyone with information can call Salineville police, 330-679-2223 or any local law enforcement agency.
