WELLSVILLE - Kenneth James "Kenny Mac" McCombs, Jr., 66, of Wellsville, died Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at home following a lengthy illness.

He was born April 22, 1947, in East Liverpool, the son of the late Virginia (Heaton) and Kenneth James McCombs, Sr. Also preceding him in death was his sister, Michelle McCombs.

Kenny graduated from Wellsville High School in 1965. He served in the United States Air Force from 1966 to 1970 during the Vietnam War. Kenny was employed in the maintenance department at Ohio Edison Sammis Plant, where he was a member of the high stack club. He was a member of the Eagles 772 and American Legion Post 70, where he served as adjutant, past commander and trustee, and was also a member of the Sons of the American Legion and the Color Guard.

Survivors include his companion: Sharon Crawford; two sisters: Judy Brewer and her husband, Larry, of Wellsville, and Bonnie Doyle and her husband, Patrick, of Allen, TX; and two brothers: Larry McCombs of Wellsville, and Donald McCombs and his wife, Paula, of Sarasota, FL. Kenny also leaves behind his pet bird Cuddles.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, November 8, 2013, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Youth Pastor Brandon Russell of The Wellsville First Christian Church officiating.

Full military honors will be accorded by the Tri-State Burial Group.

Friends may call from 4:00-7:00 pm Thursday, November 7, 2013, at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
