Diane Laney Fitzpatrick, a former Morning Journal staff writer, is returning to the Journal as a blog writer.
Fitzpatrick, a native of Hubbard and a former resident of Columbiana, is the author of the "Just Humor Me," blog which looks at the humorous side of life, in an Erma Bombeck-like style. "Just Humor Me," will now be included among the blogs on the Morning Journal website www.morningjournalnews.com and will be updated weekly.
Now a resident of San Francisco, Fitzpatrick has also published a book, "Home Sweet Homes: How Bundt Cakes, Bubble Wrap, and My Accent Helped Me Survive Nine Moves," which tells of her cross-country moves with babies, toddlers, teens, and dogs, frogs and goldfish, over 20 years and through seven states. The book is available at Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com or directly from the author by sending a request to email@example.com.
Fitzpatrick has worked as a freelance writer, blogger, and Internet content provider in the seven states where she's lived and raised her family. She has written the Just Humor Me blog at www.just-humor-me.blogspot.com for the past six years.
She and her husband, Tim Fitzpatrick, recently logged their 10th move, from South Florida to San Francisco. They have three grown children.
