Angie Beck on Monday attended her first meeting as a member of the Salem Board of Education. She was named last week to serve out the remainder of the term left vacant by Nick Bush, who resigned last month because he was moving from the area. Beck works as a paralegal and office manager for attorney Brian Macala in Salem. Her term will expire Dec. 31, 2015. "We think she'll do a great job," Superintendent Tom Bratten said. "We appreciate your time and your service."
