He was born on July 24, 1988 in Beaver, PA, a son of Beth Goodballet Bowman of Wellsville and Dr. Robert C. Knapp of Beaver.

A lifelong area resident, Justin grew up surrounded and supported by his loving family, and was a true and loyal friend to all. Always at the center of activity, he enjoyed life to the fullest. A valedictorian of the Class of 2007 at East Liverpool High School, he was also a talented musician and a gifted actor who starred in many of the school's theatrical productions. Following high school, he was accepted into the accelerated medical school program at Youngstown State University, where he received Bachelor's degrees in Biology and Chemistry before furthering his education at the Northeast Ohio University College of Medicine (NEOUCOM). Justin was scheduled to continue his education in the fall.

In addition to his parents, Justin is survived by a sister, Alannah and a brother, Kyrnan, along with his maternal grandparents, Keith and Peg Goodballet of East Liverpool, and his paternal grandmother, Ruth Knapp of Wayne, NJ. His stepfather, Chris Bowman, survives as well as special aunts and uncles: Loni Goodballet-Ross and her husband, Anthony; Shelly Stoffer and her husband, Doug; Alan Knapp and his wife, Francoise; Mary Beth DeFabrizio and her husband, Nick; and David Knapp, and numerous cousins.

Justin cherished the time he spent with his young daughter, Ezra Abrielle, who also survives, along with her mother, Johonna Hull of East Liverpool. Justin also leaves behind many loyal friends, especially those who were like brothers: Nick Volino, Zach Underwood, Levi Payne and Tyler Thayer.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Sunday, where the family will be present from 2 to 8 p.m.

Services will be held at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. Monday, with Pastors Mary Lou Hull and Bob and Kim Gadd of House of Prayer officiating.
