William Litwin

Funeral services will be held on Friday July 19th at 10:00am at St. Christine Church, for William E. Litwin, who passed away on Saturday.

He was born on his family farm in North Jackson, OH, son of Alexander and Mary Pograniczny.

William attended North Jackson High School and is a Veteran of WWII. He served as a Private first classman in the United States Army with the 17th Division, 193rd Regiment, 326 Glider Infantry, where he served in England, France, Belgium and Germany. He received a EAME Theater Ribbon w/3 Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart for his service in the Army. He later went on to work as Quality Control for RMI in Niles for 21 years, retiring in 1981. He was also a member of St. Christine Church in Youngstown and Concord Club. He was an avid Fisherman and loved gardening.

Surviving are his Wife, Ellen (Wilson) Mansell, a son Paul (Kelly) Litwin of Marysville, Ohio, 3 Daughters, Karen David of Youngstown, Terri (Arthur) Foley of Worthington, Ohio and Lori (Anthony) Bisconti of Poland, Ohio. One sister, Josephine (Harold) Scott, 2 Stepsons Dallas (Linda) Mansell and Ernest (Joy) Mansell both of E. Palestine, 4 Stepdaughters, Jennifer Mansell of Newport News, VA, Janeen (Jerry) Foreman of Plano, TX, Jeanette (Charles) Dubos of Coitsville, Oh and Jonelle (Robert) Depp of Honolulu, Hawaii. William also leaves 9 Grandchildren; Sean David, John Litwin, Aaron Litwin and Harmony Litwin, Justin Foley, Derek Foley, Dylan Foley, Alissa Bisconti and Lia Bisconti and 1 Great Grandchild; Madilyn Foley. He also leaves 19 Step Grandchildren and 14 Step Great Grandchildren.

William was preceded in death by his First wife, Helen Markusic whom he married September 27, 1947, who passed away October 7, 2001, Parents, 2 Brothers; Joseph and John Litwin and 4 Sisters; Anna Skeebo, Mary Barnes, Katherine Zents and Helen Scott.

Friends will be received on Thursday July 18, 2013 from 5-8PM and Friday, July 19 at 9:30AM at the Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home, Inc., 3100 Canfield Road. Youngstown, Ohio.
