A three-alarm fire struck the Legends late?Sunday night, with flames shooting through the roof at the night club on Mulberry Street in East Liverpool. The owner, Jeff Hall, was on the scene, obviously dismayed. Hall has owned the place for three years and has put a lot into fixing it up. The bar was closed Sunday. Hall said he had some flooding in the basement from last week's storm, but that it dried out. And the building never lost electric from the storm. Hall said it seemed firefighters had a difficult time bringing the blaze under control. He noted one reason may have been that the Legends had once been a bowling alley, and the wooden floors and the oil bowling alleys use on them could have made for a bigger blaze. No further details were available last night.
