LEETONIA - A motorcycle ride on a glorious spring day turned tragic for an Elkrun Township man Sunday.
Carl M. Oyer, 56, of Morris Road, died after his Harley Davidson motorcycle wrecked near the intersection of state Route 558 and Leetonia Road south of Leetonia.
The patrol said Oyer was following his wife, who was on a three-wheel motorcycle, and she told them they were traveling at about 25 to 30 miles per hour when the crash occurred around 5 p.m. Both were wearing helmets.
