HANOVERTON - A. "Lucille" Lohman, 87, of Salineville passed away peacefully April 17, 2013 at her daughter's home in Hanoverton, where she had resided for the past seven years.

She was born in Kensington, Ohio on September 4, 1925 a daughter to the late Lawrence and Belle (Reisden) Oyer.

Living all her life in this area, she was a mother of four children and a homemaker, always cooking, baking (pies), gardening, and canning vegetables on the farm. She created many beautiful stitches with her crocheting, cross-stitch, crafts, knitting and sewing which she gifted to family and friends on special occasions. In later years she completed many jig saw puzzles and word search puzzles. She and her late husband enjoyed going to Amish country with family and friends. She enjoyed visits with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a previous member of the Hanoverton Presbyterian Church and played piano in her younger years.

Her husband Elmer George Lohman whom she married on February 15, 1946, passed away on October 30, 2005.

Surviving her are children, Janice Gruszecki of Hanoverton, Jerry (companion Becky) Lohman of Salineville, Gloria (Roger) Brown of Massillon and Mark (Carolyn) Lohman of Salineville; four grandchildren, Tracy DiCarlantonio, Lisa Jacobs, Andra and Christopher Brown; three great grandchildren, Haley, Cameron and Hannah Jacobs; three step great grandchildren, Tyler Pruden, Whitney and Elizabeth Gibbons.

She is also survived by her brother, David Oyer of Canton; sisters, Ruth (Arthur) Dillon of Columbiana, Wanda Grunder of Minerva and sister-in-law Lillis Oyer of Kensington.

Lucille was preceded in death by brothers, Robert, Charles and Lewis Oyer, William Chambers, a sister Leona Oyer and son-in-law J.J. Gruszecki.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 10:30 AM at the Kerr-Pastore Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Allmon officiating.

Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.

Family and friends may call on Friday from 6-8 PM.
