Oxygen masks pass the smell test

Stella the golden retriever and Wiley the border collie check out pet oxygen masks that were donated by Cindy Lyon (right) to the East Palestine and New Waterford fire departments and the county Humane Society. Joining the photograph are East Palestine firefighter/EMT Dawn Carsey (top left) and Darla Miller, kennel manager for the Humane Society. Carsey rescuing a car from a Garfield Road house fire, Lyon made her gift. Each bag contains three different size masks and tubing. Lyon, owner of Turf Trax on state Route 7 near Beaver Local, gave masks to the Negley department last year. Lyon brought her dogs to the gift-giving presentation.
