GUILFORD LAKE - Kim C. Loar, 58, of Guilford Lake, died at 3:18 p.m. Saturday, April 6 at Salem Community Hospital.
He was born Sept. 12, 1954, in Painesville, Ohio, the son of the late George C. and Rosalie (Wilson) Loar.
He was a 1972 graduate of East Lake North High School. He came to this area 30 years ago from the Willoughby and East Lake area. He had been a welder at Stroehecker Inc. in East Palestine, Ohio until 2010. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing and living in the Guilford Lake area for the last 20 years.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Andrea (Reynolds) Loar in 2007.
He is survived by a sister Cathy (Richard) Bradshaw and a brother Rex Loar both of New Port Richey, Fla., and a brother Todd (Phyillis) Loar of Montville, Ohio, a stepson Christopher (Dana) Carpenter, and two grandchildren.
Private services will be held by the family at a later date.
