SALEM - The Annual Spring Arts & Crafts Bazaar at the Salem Memorial Building March 15 and 16 will feature a number of unique crafts, candies and baked goods, along with a large Chinese auction of items donated by vendors and by area businesses.
The event is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, March 15, and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 16. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
All proceeds from table rentals, the lunch counter and the Chinese Auction will benefit Memorial Building activities and services for all ages all year round.
Tables can still be reserved at a cost of $25 for an 8-foot table and two chairs for both Friday and Saturday by calling 330-332-5512.
Vendors are asked to donate one item for the Chinese Auction, but Parks Recreation Supervisor Shane Franks said he also contacted local merchants who donated more than $400 worth of gift certificates and items for people to take a chance on winning.
He offered his thanks to the local businesses and said anyone else wanting to donate for the auction can call 330-332-5512. Winners need not be present for the auction, with the drawing of the tickets set for 2 p.m. on the Saturday of the two-day event.
