LISBON - Two election board employees were granted pay raises this year after going the previous two years without an increase,
The Columbiana County Board of Elections agreed Tuesday to provide 3.2 percent pay raises to clerks Donna Klaes and Niki Wilkinson. Elections Board Director Adam Booth said the raises were based on combined increase in the Consumer Price Index for 2011 and 2012, the years Klaes and Wilkinson went without an raises.
The other two office clerks received pay raises last year under a policy that recommends employees with less than 10 years on the job receive annual raises. Klaes and Wilkinson have worked at the elections board for longer than 10 years.
Neither Booth nor Deputy Director Kim Meek will receive a pay increase for a second consecutive year. They were given large pay raises in 2011.
